Planning to go to college starts as soon as you enroll in community college. As a Puentista, you know that you have big plans for your future. Going to college will take dedication and work. Your Puente counselor and English instructor will help you get there. Get to know them and don't be afraid to ask questions, such as:

  • Why is college so important for my future?
  • Am I taking the right courses?
  • How do I select my major/career?
  • I'm not rich, how can I pay for college?
  • How do I know which college is right for me?

We've added some useful links on the left to help you; from helping you plan your courses to finding out about how to pay for college. ¡Sí se puede!

Events

Motivational Conference
Each year, we schedule two transfer motivational conferences for our community college students-one in the northern section of the state and one in the southern. We co-host these annual conferences with a state four-year institution and they are each scheduled at the four-year institution.

The purpose of the conferences is to inform, inspire and motivate you as you begin the transfer process to four-year universities. The conference will also provide you with the opportunity to meet and interact with fellow Puentistas from other community colleges and will give you a sense of your larger Puente familia.

When the event is finalized, more detailed information will be made available and Puente CC students can register for the Motivational Conference. Check back around October 1st for information on registration
