Puente High School Students

Planning to go to college starts in high school. As a Puentista, you know that you have big plans for your future. Going to college will take dedication and work. Your Puente counselor and English teacher will help you get there. Get to know them and don't be afraid to ask questions, such as:

  • Am I taking the right courses?
  • How important are my grades?
  • Why are clubs and community involvement part of my preparation for college? How do I get involved?
  • What is the SAT and SAT Subject tests and how do I prepare for these tests? When should I take these tests?
  • I'm not rich, how can I pay for college?
  • How do I know which college is right for me?
